OTHM LEVEL 5 DIPLOMA IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE MANAGEMENT

Overview

The Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management equipped learners with the skills, understanding and knowledge for a managerial position through the combination of theoretical practical industry specific skills that enables them to apply their knowledge in the workplace as well as providing a platform to an enhance their career prospects while allowing progression to further study.

Qualification Structure

The Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management is a 120 credit rated qualification of 1200 Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) of 6 compulsory Modular Units.

  • Walking in Partnership in Health and Social Care (20 Credits)
  • Managing the Safeguarding and Protection of Vulnerable Individuals (20 credits)
  • Health Education and Promoting Wellbeing (20 credits)
  • Professional Supervision Practice in Health and Social Care (20 credits)
  • Team Management in Health and Social Care (20 credits)
  • Research Methods in Health and Social Care (20 credits)

Entry Requirements

  • Level 4 Diploma qualification or equivalent.
  • 5 O/Level credits including English language and Mathematics is a pre-qualification requirements.

6 Months

Assessment of respective modular units are by assignments only. There is no closed book examinations.

The Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management is equivalent to the second year of a British University Degree.

On successfully completing the Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, Learners can progress to the Level 6 Diploma or gain direct entry into the final year of a three year British University Degree.
