OTHM LEVEL 4 DIPLOMA IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE MANAGEMENT

Overview

The Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management equips learners with the skills, understanding and knowledge for a managerial position by combining both theoretical and practical knowledge to successfully relate with users in the sector. Learners will be equipped with industry specific and practical skills, enabling enabling them to successfully apply these knowledge in the workplace.

Qualification Structure

The Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management is a 120 credit rated qualification of 1200 Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) of 6 compulsory Modular Units.

COMPULSORY MODULAR UNITS

Promoting Equality Diversity and Inclusion in Health and Social Care (20 credits)

Professional Development and Academic Writing Skills (20credits) Communication in the Caring Profession (20 credits)

Principles of Health and Safety for Health Professions (20 credits). Assessment Processes in Health and Social Care Management settings (20 credits).

Resource Management in Health and Social Care (20 credits).

Entry Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma qualification or equivalent.
  • GCE A/Levels in two subjects or equivalent qualification.
  • 5 O/Level credits including English language and Mathematics is a pre-qualification requirements
  • Matured learners over 21 years with relevant experience will be considered.

Assessment of respective modular units are by assignments only. There is no closed book examinations.

The Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management is equivalent to the first year of a British University Degree.

On successfully completing the Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, Learners can progress to the Level 5 Diploma or gain direct entry into Year 2 of a three year British University Degree.
